Revell 1/144 Space Kit - Spaceshiptwo & Whiteknighttwo.

Virgin Galactic is Richard Branson's brainchild with a strong focus to create and then dominate the future market of commercial space travel.
WhiteKnightTwo is the largest all composite, dual fuselage aircraft in the world and is the aerial launch pad for SpaceShipTwo. White Knight Two carries Space Ship Two up to the edge of our atmosphere where the air is thin enough to release SpaceShipTwo for the final ascent to space. The climb is easier at this altitude due to the thinner air and the safe, efficient climb is performed at an impressive Mach 3.5.
SpaceShipTwo features a never seen before re-entry system. The tail booms of the aircraft actually rotate to provide stability and drag during re-entry. The aircraft then glides from this high altitude to an un-powered landing.
With the appropriately astronomical prices for a ticket to ride this beast, the fantastic model kit from Revell may be the best chance any of us have of embracing the Virgin Galactic experience... at least for now anyway!

Features
• 2 Kits in 1 - Either build as individual kits or as a composite

Revell 1/32 Space Kit - Apollo: Spacecraft & Interior With Paints, Glue & Brush.

The Apollo Spacecraft that transported Astronauts to the moon for the first time consisted of two parts, the Command Module and the Service Module. The Command Module contained quarters for the three men, as well as extensive electronics, communications and guidance systems. It was supplied with oxygen and electric power from the Service Module, which also contained the main propulsion engine for attaining lunar orbit and for firing into the return trip. After completing the entire mission to and around the moon and back toward earth together, the two modules separated just minutes before entering the atmosphere leaving only the Command Module to return to earth. The gold color on this model simulates the gold foil covering of the actual Command Module. Interior details such as figures of the three Astronauts, instrument and control panels, structural members, parachutes, oxygen and hydrogen tanks, and fuel cells may be viewed through transparent sections. The model is 12-3/4” long (32.4cm) and stands 8-5/8” tall (21.9cm) on its display base. Engine nozzle extension and high-gain antenna are moveable.

Yuri Gagarin became the first Man in Space on 12th April 1961 on board the Vostok 1 spacecraft. He was launched by a modified ballistic missile, the SS-6, now converted into the A series of launch rockets. The flight, launched from the Tyuratam Cosmodrome, lasted 108 minutes and travelled 25,400 miles (40,900 km). The Vostok capsule was 7.5 feet (2.3m) in diameter and weighed 1,765 lbs (800kg).

The A-series of launchers have 20 main engines clustered in fours - four for the main core and four each on four tapered strap-on boosters. The develop a million poinds (453,600 kg) of thrust and are still being used today to launch Soyus and Progress craft to the International Space Station.

Dragon 1/48 Space Kit - Apollo 11 Command Service Module

Apollo 11 is probably the most famous space mission of all time, this historic spaceflight first putting man on the Moon more than half a century ago. The event occurred on 20 July 1969 as millions of TV viewers around the world watched with bated breath. The Lunar Module (LM) known as Eagle safely landed on lunar soil for the first time. In the meantime, the Command/Service Module (CSM) was orbiting the Moon high above aboard. The CSM was named Columbia after Columbiad, the giant cannon-shell craft that was fired to the Moon in Jules Verne’s novel “From the Earth to the Moon”. After the Moon landing, Eagle’s ascent stage successfully docked with the CSM before the crew began their return voyage to Earth.

Dragon’s Space Collection is now proud to offer a 1/48 scale plastic kit of the complete CSM, and it comes hot on the heels of an earlier release of a fully built-up and finished version. This large scale permits a stunning level of detail to be incorporated on the Apollo 11 module. The craft’s sharply molded in plastic and it also features additional items such as photo-etched radar antennas to give a touch of refinement. The CSM comes with accurate markings and logos on an accompanying set of decals. Thanks to the sleek metal display stand, the model can be readily displayed to full effect on a desktop. Space modelers are bound to be over the moon with the launch of this new 1/48 scale Apollo 11 CSM kit!

Features:
- Delicate Apolo 11 CSM w/display stand
- VHF scimitar antenna included
- Docking Probe Assembly rendered w/intricate detail
- Detailed reaction control thruster
- Realistic Service Propulsion System

Revell 1/8 Figure Kit - Apollo Astronaut On The Moon With Paints, Glue & Brush

The most spectacular event of the 20th century took place on 20th July 1969 - the First Man on the Moon. An old dream of mankind came true when after a dramatic 4-day voyage the 3-man crew of the Apollo 11 mission embarked on this historic moment. While the astronaut Michael Collins orbited round the moon aboard the command capsule, Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin landed the lunar module "Eagle" on the moon. Equipped with a portable life support system in a backpack and a special space suit, Neil Armstrong climbed down the steps of the ladder and was the first man to walk on the moon. His claim "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind" was famed through the world. Together with "Buzz" Aldrin, Armstrong later planted the American flag on the moon, set up scientific apparatus and collected moon rock. The ILC Apollo space suit provides a comfortable atmosphere, is very flexible and allows almost complete freedom of movement. After 2 hours on the moon, the two astronauts climbed back into the lunar module and the next morning they docked with the command capsule.
The set includes four paints for the basic decoration, a two-sided paintbrush and "Revell Contacta Professional Mini" glue.

Detailed representation of space suit;
Helmet with tinted visor;
Life support backpack and front pack;
Reproduction of astronaut's camera;
